I talked
with one of the product managers (don't remember her exact title now) at
Eidos a few weeks ago about these new figures. She told me they will be
a very difficult item to get, and if you saw them to grab one up. She was
even unable to obtain one early, and she deals with all the merchandising.
(lol) I wrote to Playmates, and they said that there was an early release
in December, but that Babbages (Software Etc.), Toys R Us, Target and Wallmart
would soon be carrying them. Electronic Boutique also carries them and
informed me that they WERE limited in the production run. Apparantly most
stores were only allotted TWO figures until the main release this month.
I was not able to find out what the production run was though. I was able
to get my grubby little mitts on one for $22.95, but have seen them selling
on eBay for over $40. There WILL be another action figure released in April....two
actually.....another similar to the new wetsuit figure only with Lara in
her usual attire. And another smaller (6") action figure similar only in
size to that ugly ToyBiz figure. (lol) I guess that's all the info I have
to share at the moment. lol |
